Monstrositea - Batch Six

I've not been tweaking the colour balance on my tea photos but was tempted with this one, given how washed out it looks. Despite the paleness of the tea, it had a stronger taste than some of the others--a very slight grassy hint but a touch sweeter. I quite liked it

This sample came with brewing instructions that were a bit different to the usual blacks. It turned out very nicely, though. It's not quite as heavy as I prefer but has a glorious smell I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe slightly woody?

Usually, I'm not a fan of berry teas. They always come with hibiscus, which tends to overwhelm all other flavours. However, this one was very nicely balanced. If I was going to drink berry tea on a regular basis, this would definitely be the one I'd go to.

I was a little nervous about trying this sample, having never tried Yerba Mate before. It turns out I needn't have worried. For a tea that's not a tea, it tasted surprisingly of tea...

Overall, a pretty great batch!
