I am so glad that you posted this. I realize I have little idea where my Australian friends are in that vast country. I had been wondering if any of you were being affected.

Sending good energy and tea and such from this side of the world. I can't imagine what this is like, and so sorry for the impact this is having on your life. It sounds scary and overwhelming and yet, as you say, possibly no relief in sight. Not good mental conditions to say nothing of the physical ones.
