Goofing off

I'm back to writing blog posts this week, but made the most of my holiday last week by heading out to Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve with my family. I think my sister knew I was looking for a chance to test out the camera on my new phone.




Being the time of year it is, there was plenty of wattle in bloom. If it wasn't for the hay fever, this would be my favourite season.







We started off at the Wetland Sanctuary, which has some lovely art around the entrance.





I hadn't yet had a chance to attached the magnetic ring for the macro lens to my phone and was thus shooting without. Nevertheless, I was pretty impressed with how it held up.





I have apparently trained my family to fetch me whenever they see fungus, knowing I like to photograph it.





The weather was gorgeous, though a touch cold.



Still not happy about the zoom on the camera, but I will make do.



All in all, I had a lovely day and really enjoyed spending time with my family.

It is such a lovely place. I don't get out there nearly as much as I'd like.
