Poem: Tuesday
I have been using (Inter)National Poetry Month as an encouragement to spend more time writing poetry. Concrit gratefully received.
Tuesday
I boiled the water too hot,
was blind to the Agony,
left things to sit for too long
until they turned dark and bitter.
The sun had set by the time
I poured it all out
and started again.

I'd like to send this off to the now-ex-woman I'm dating. Would that be okay? What name should I use to credit it with, if so?

I am happy if you want to quote this and have sent you a DM.

What's amazing is how I had the poem with me to show JDots and completely forgot about it. It may be that there will be a better time than our first dinner together post-calling-off-the dating thing. Even if she never sees it, it resonates so amazingly with me.
I am grateful for your articulateness!

(I did, at one point, get dramatically histrionic and made light of what was actually anger though she never would have known that... she gave me a long list of ways she changed to accommodate me and my wants and such (uber co-dependence) in her email to me so I said to her "You did all this stuff that changes who you are for me.... I never asked for that... DON'T CHANGE A THING! You're an amazing, wonderful woman as you are... BE YOU!!!!" I think she was stunned by the directness but I was smiling the whole time I said it so she knew she wasn't supposed to be hurt)
There are definitely some obstacles to our having a successful romantic relationship but that's so far off in the distance at this point. We have to get to know each other as friends first.

I may be a wee bit biased myself :D
