Monday Meanderings

I don't often get out for a walk on my own. Mostly, it is because I feel guilty for leaving the dogs behind; they always kick up a fuss even when I have already taken them out for the day. However, the weather this afternoon was gorgeous and I felt I needed some time outdoors.

The dots amongst the overgrown weeds are native bluebells (genus Wahlenbergia). There's a closer, out-of-focus look at them en mass.

I have no idea what this flower is. I could hazard a few guesses but none of them quite make sense.

Pretty. Glad you could get out in the open.

Not especially, saving dog walks and the walk home from the Bus. I think a good walk is due at some point soon.

Beautiful pictures! I especially love the one of the tree overhanging the tiny stream. What kind of tree is that? It reminds me of a birch, but I'm pretty sure it isn't.

The flower looks related to a sweet pea, though if it is, it's very lost...I like the first picture best, I think - the curl of the chopped rings looks sort of monumental and you can almost smell the grassland.

Oh, those bluebells are gorgeous! Perfect little purple stars nestling in the grass.
