Current projects

I don't tend to work on a whole lot of projects at once because I lack the head space and need to manage pain levels. However, I know that even when I'm a regular visitor to a journal (and more especially when I'm a new reader) I can sometimes find it really hard to keep track of the author's writing projects.
For the curious and confused, here is what I'm currently working on at the moment:
Last updated: 6 October 2013
Gold Coast anthology
While attending the Australian Science Fiction convention in April 2013, I was asked to co-edit a cross-genre collection of short stories focused on Australia's Gold Coast. A proper title will be decided on once we've finished selecting stories. More details can be found on the website.
Wolfwinter
This is another very special project. Many of the entries on this project are kept under a filter, though there will likely be mentions of it elsewhere.
It is a low-magic fantasy novel (or, more likely, a series of novels) about a werewolf preying on a small northern kingdom and the band of mercenaries that comes to the rescue. It is somewhat influenced by George R.R. Martin, though with less sex and death... and perhaps a few less characters (perhaps). It was started in July 2012 and is likely going to take me a very long time.
Recently finished
Children of the Crown Wars
Back in the day, I had a shelf of stories on Elfwood. My main project at the time was a story detailing how my D&D character came to acquire her prestige class as a Bladesinger. I made quite a few friends on Elfwood and followed them over to LJ. We still keep in touch over there. Recently, one of them proposed we put together a very special collection of our work. Each of us would contribute one story that we had written back in the days on Elfwood and one new story that had to be written this year. These would then be compiled into a book with just enough copies printed for each of the contributors--a way of commemorating our friendship.
So I dusted off the old characters. This is the story of how they all met.
