Monstrositea - Batch Four

The description on this tea told me it was white tea blended with blueberries (soaked in apple juice and sunflower oil) and rose petals. It smelled amazing but my taste buds insisted it was liquid black pepper with an aftertaste of apple juice. It wasn't unpleasant just... strange.

This turned out to be another puzzling tea. The description assured me that it wasn't black tea at all but blackcurrant leaves and buds which should produce a dark purple tea. As you can see, it clearly wasn't that. I'm certain it was a black tea with blackcurrant flavouring. It tasted fantastic.

The first time around, I found this tea rather flavourless. It improved once I ignored the instructions and brewed it stronger, moving it from flavourless to nicely subtle.

That's the sweet truffle, not the mushroom truffle. A wonderfully sweet tea tasting of toffee with a slight aftertaste of orange, though there's none present in the tea. This tea didn't stick around long, being quickly demolished when I shared it with the boys in my gaming group.

This one isn't a Monstrositea sample at all, but a gift from the lovely
