Mushroom Hunting

Recently, my sister and I headed out to Tidbinbilla. Winter out there means two things: fungi and lyrebirds. We saw plenty of the former. I took a ton of photos, but struggled with focus and lighting. It's probably about time I sat down and properly learned how to use my DSLR camera properly. Nevertheless, I have a few that were acceptable.
( Fungi photos )
( Ferns and leaf litter )
While we were photographing, we did hear the distinctive, mimicking call of lyrebirds. It's currently mating season. Unfortunately, we didn't see sign of them until we were driving away from the trail with our cameras stowed safely away. One dashed across the road a short distance ahead of us, pausing for a moment by the side of the road.
Maybe next time.
