I'm finding that being gentle with oneself is definitely the way to go right now :)
And I know I'm not seeing everything, but I think you are doing awesomely well at adjusting to the new job and new place. They are some pretty major changes, after all.
Perhaps it's just me, but winter SAD definitely seems less prevalent in Australia. I imagine it is all the sunshine we get.
