Mt TBR Status
Mt TBR at 1 January: 146 books
Mt TBR at 31 May: 139 books
Mt TBR at 30 June: 135 books

Total has gone down thanks to a cull I did mid-month rather than thanks to any reading I've done. I've actually been in a bit of a reading slump lately. Any suggestions on how to break out of it would be much appreciated.

While I'm on track to meet my goal of finishing the year with a smaller Mt TBR than I started it with, ten books doesn't seem like much of a reduction.

Books read
29. Sailing Alone Around the Room by Billy Collins.

It's a great reduction to start with. ^-^

As for breaking through slumps... Sometimes rereading an old favourite helps, sometimes the best thing is to ride it out, sometimes switching up your reading can help... (So reading a bunch of short stories in a row or a bunch of comics/graphic novels or a completely different genre from what you're used to.)

Not sure whether there's anything helpful in that, but I hope so. ^-^

I'm glad to hear that Sherlock Holmes has been helping you somewhat! I hope the stories will continue to help you through the slump. <3

*snug* I'm okay, no worries. ^-^ *sends good thoughts* I hope things are well for you too!

I tend to find the best way for me to get out of a reading slump is to dive straight into a book I've been really looking forward to and am excited about. So if there's a book that fits that description in my reading pile, I'll read that first. Hope that helps!
