Beach photos

Apologies to those of you who have already seen some of these on my various social media accounts. This is a more complete collection, including those I took on the DSLR. I didn't have much luck with the bigger camera while I was gone--it seems I need to put some more work into learning to use the camera properly. However, I did get a few bits and pieces and the stuff I took with my phone turned out very well.

Re the photo above, Hyams Beach is pet friendly within certain hours and within certain restrictions.

We were down at Hyams beach which, according to Australian Geographic (thanks, winterbird), is the fourth whitest beach in Australia.

We're drawing closer to the equinox, so I was up at sunrise most mornings, though I only ventured out once with the camera.

I took plenty of bird photos, including about a million photos of kookaburras. Unfortunately, most of the latter didn't turn out.

I ended up with a series of photos of tracks in the sand.

But my favourite thing to photograph at the beach are the shells. Hyams didn't have much on that front, but another nearby beach yielded a couple of nice ones.
