Tidbinbilla Part 1 - Mammals

calissaIn accordance with our tradition, Sahaquiel and I headed out to Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve on New Year's Day. This was the first year I was carrying a DSLR camera, which allowed me to take photos of the fauna instead of just the flora. I ended up with so many photos that I have to share them with you in batches.
Not sure whether these are both juveniles. The one at the back still seems kind of small, even for an Eastern Grey.
This critter was having a fine time sunbaking across the path. They hopped off once we got too close.
Camouflage is a thing.
On our way out, we stopped in at the koala enclosure. There were three inside today and one of them was particularly active.

I'm still editing photos, but stay tuned for a post of birds and another of insects and reptiles.
