Yesterday I wrapped up The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, which wasn't really my jam. It often seems that way with classics. I'm planning to move on to Kingdom of Souls by Rena Barron, and which I'm thinking of reviewing for Skiffy and Fanty.

The No.367 Collins falcons chicks look pretty much full-grown, with just a lingering mohawk of fluff. They're beating their wings vigorously, so I expect they shall take off soon.
Sahaquiel has been super excited to share Daybreak with me. It's a Netflix series in which a biological weapon has brought the apocalypse and basically turned all the adults into zombies. The teenagers band together in their high school cliques, marking out their territories and warring with each other. It's a little bit Lord of the Flies, a little bit Mad Max. Which doesn't sound like my thing at all. Indeed, the body horror is a bit much for me. But I like the sense of humour. The central plot follows Josh, who was a new kid at the school right before the world ended. He's searching for his crush, the one girl that everyone at school liked. The girl-as-McGuffin aspect annoys me a bit.

Date: 2019-11-06 08:14 am (UTC)Oh, they are SO much less fluffy! You are right! Although still super uncoordinated. A parent turned up and one of the babies was so excited they tripped and fell on their face... Yeah, baby falcon, still definitely do not have all the 'aloofness and grace' you're supposed to...
