I enjoyed Dark Rise, but found it a bit predictable. I was a bit worried I came across as harsh in my review of it, considering I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.
I found The Dark is Rising kind of boring? Perhaps that's strange, since I tend to like a lot of mythopoeic stuff. But it felt rather generic and without a whole lot of depth.
Setting your reading goal to 80 books seems like a sensible idea. Now that we're almost at March, I'm wondering if I should have gone for 100 instead of 125; my reading definitely seems to have slowed down somewhat. Well, I guess I shall see how I go.
