Poem: Tuesday

I have been using (Inter)National Poetry Month as an encouragement to spend more time writing poetry. Concrit gratefully received.


Tuesday
I boiled the water too hot,
was blind to the Agony,
left things to sit for too long
until they turned dark and bitter.

The sun had set by the time
I poured it all out
and started again.

Loving the imagery, though I may be biased as an enthusiast of steeped drinks. ;) Seriously, though - this is so simple but so effective.
