I should wrap up Pushing Ice by Alistair Reynolds. I enjoyed it more than I expected to, being less hard sci-fi than I thought it was going to be. And the two main characters are women, both in positions of power. However, I'm less than thrilled about the way they're pitted against each other. I'm kind of looking forward to wrapping it up and moving on to something new (though what that might be, I haven't quite decided).

The No.367 Collins falcons chicks are getting bigger. They're still mostly fluff, but I've noticed some recognisable feathers when they spread their wings. The adults are spending less and less time at the nest.

Sahaquiel and I are just at the end of Season 2 of our AtLA rewatch. Happy Zuko feels a bit weird, but I wish he'd stuck around long enough for me to get used to it.

I also continue to be delighted by Detective L, which is basically Sherlock Holmes set in 1930s Shanghai. Our Watson character is one of the first female police officers in Shanghai, managing to be both wide-eyed ingenue and the brawn of the pair. There's some great chemistry between the leads (but I'm convinced Bai Yu could have great chemistry with a building). Unfortunately, there was only one season and I'm about halfway through.

*snerk* You are terrible for the whole convincing of me to watch Chinese dramas.
