Holiday cards
Oct. 9th, 2020 04:59 pmThis would ordinarily be the time of year when I put out a call to see who'd be interested in receiving a holiday card. Unfortunately, that won't be happening this year. Quite aside from the chaotic state of mail systems around the world, my health has deteriorated enough to make the cost of writing those cards too high.
I admit it's kind of bumming me out a little, especially knowing that it's unlikely to be the only holiday tradition I'll have to scrap this year.

People would like that, I think, if you told them it was their pretend card. Responding to the challenge of how best to do pretend versions of social ritual things could be lots of fun, I think, if you got folk to join in - it'd be like a game. Group photos? Exciting group photoshops. -and so on.
